How does Reppo work?
1. Publishers Publish AI-Generated Content
Creators (publishers) can publish text, images, video, audio, or agent-based content on-chain. Each piece includes metadata like which AI model or platform was used. Optionally, they may also share prompt logs or collaboration history.
2. Voters Lock Tokens and Vote
Voters stake (lock) $REPPO to receive VeReppo, their voting power. Each voting period (epoch), they vote on content and publishers they expect to gain popularity. To guard against gaming the system, Reppo uses a commit-reveal scheme that hides real-time vote tallies until the epoch ends.
3. Preference Data Is Collected
When voting, users implicitly or explicitly share preference data—such as rankings, ratings, or selections. This captures what kinds of content resonate with people. (See Collection Methods for details.)
4. Reward Distribution
At epoch’s end, a weekly rewards pool in $REPPO is distributed evenly:
50% goes to publishers whose content got support
50% goes to the voters who backed them
5. Metrics & Training Data
Every publisher gets a Reppo Score, reflecting their influence and engagement. The interactions between voters and publishers also generate high-value training data for AI—capturing human preferences, feedback, and ranking behavior.
