Economic incentives generates high-quality human-feedback, giving an upside to labelers and annotators who receive abusive treatment from bad intentioned data vendors who exploit workers in low-income countries, often paying just $1-2/hour for their work. In addition to the social argument, it is a well known fact that AI companies now need domain-experts and Reppo's prediction market approach allows voters i.e. data labelers and annotators to self select their expertise while choosing the subnet to participate in.
Below is an overview of how Reppo's on-chain prediction market works:
Publishers publish raw training data on-chain in their preferred subnets - Public or Private
Voters lock $REPPO to get voting power and vote for published content in subnets
Subnet creators/owners create private REPPO emission pools and customize the the epoch length and emissions split to to incentivize publishers and voters to come join their subnet.
Private emissions pools are separate from the Public subnets emissions pool currently live on Reppo.ai
Private subnet owners can choose to bring their own raw training data and incentivize just one side in the data market i.e. voters to label and annotate.
Through this mechanism design innovation, the network coordinates data owners, data labelers, data annotators and data consumers to interact, validate and get rewarded for their efforts.
Reppo Network is made up of public and private subnets, each of which a specialized mini-network powered by Reppo's incentive framework and focuses on a specific type of AI training data through specific tasks and domains. Different subnets leverage different collection methods and Reppo's platform provides the necessary enablement tooling.
A public subnet allows permissionless contribution from miners and validators (content guardrails permitting) whereas private subnets are owned and operated by individuals. enterprises, and small teams working with proprietary source data and gated access to voters i.e. data annotators to have more control on quality.
Today, Reppo does not operate its own L1 or L2 blockchain. It is a generalized Data-AI coordination layer to crowdsource on-demand human feedback at planetary scale.
